The Beauty and the Beast is proud to work with the following organisations;

The National Blood Transfusion service

Hopefully not because you'll need them after the race! The NBTS saves many thousands of lives a year and relies on volunteers to give blood. I've been doing it for over 20 years and it is very easy and painless to do. People have a great fear of giving blood but all I will say is that you should just go and try it once. The nurses are very patient and skillful, it doesn't hurt, and its roughly 30 minutes out of your life once every three months, with the potential to save someone's life. We'll have flyers at race day for you to pick up or you can just check out their website. Click here for details.

Leonard Cheshire Disability

Leonard Cheshire Disability works with disabled people at the Befriending Scheme in Cumbria which serves disabled children in your local area. We are inviting you to join us and over 50,000 other runners in Newcastle this October for the UK’s biggest and best half marathon. We have a limited number of guaranteed places available for runners who want to step up to a half marathon distance.

By joining our team you will receive a training guide, regular newsletters, an exclusive LCD running vest, fundraising support, a loud and supportive cheering squad and an invitation to our VIP runners area at the finish with a free sports massage and refreshments. Every step will be helping us to provide vital services to disabled people in your community and beyond.
